TANDBERG Maintains Market Leadership in High Definition Videoconferencing
Since debuting its High-Definition (HD) offering in July 2006, TANDBERG, a global leader in visual communication, continues to be the only provider of HD video at the desktop, delivering a true end-to-end HD solution to its customers. With today’s software release, TANDBERG will enable customers to experience HD resolution at 30 frames per second for unsurpassed video quality from the desktop to the telepresence room. This simple software upgrade can be downloaded in minutes and instantly deployed.
"TANDBERG consistently delivers robust product enhancements through software," said Andrew W. Davis, Senior Analyst and Managing Partner at Wainhouse Research. "Software upgrades are instrumental in making a customer’s initial investment valuable throughout its entire lifetime.”
TANDBERG delivers the most comprehensive HD solution in the videoconferencing market today. The solution is comprised of telepresence, conference room, and executive desktop systems as well as HD-ready infrastructure products including TANDBERG’s MPS videoconferencing bridge, Border Controller and Gatekeeper. As with all TANDBERG products, centralized control and simplified management are provided by the TANDBERG Management Suite (TMS).
"Enabling a better communication experience in an organization shouldn’t require customers to replace their entire infrastructure,” said Fredrik Halvorsen, TANDBERG chief executive officer. “This software upgrade from TANDBERG provides our customers with investment protection and a clear path for migration to HD.”
With this release of software, customers can expect support for true High Definition at 720p resolution and 30 frames per second, additional SIP functionality, and security enhancements.
This software is available for download today and is free with a maintenance contract.
